Settle in at the Whisky & Soda Bar for a relaxed drink or a cocktail crafted by our award-winning bartenders. Enjoy casual lawn and alfresco dining with Bistro 46’s Italian-inspired classics and traditional Italian pizza, or head inside to Skinny Tony’s Really Italian for an authentic Italian dining experience.

For something sweet, The Dessert Depot serves up deliciously over-the-top creations across the entire venue—whether you’re finishing a meal or simply following a craving.

Our story

Some nights all you want is a pint of beer and a bowl of chips. Other nights call for something a little fancier: a locally distilled spirit with house-made bitters, a pasta or steak, or a classic Italian pizza served by the metre. Whatever your mood, you’ll find it here.

Slip into the velvet chesterfield booths that line the bar and bistro and enjoy an easy meal from Skinny Tony’s seasonal menu, with a cocktail or a glass of vino from our stunning 20-metre white marble bar. At night the bistro doubles as a bar to rival the city’s best, with big screens showing live sport.

For something more, head to Skinny Tony’s Really Italian restaurant, home to Australia’s longest pizza. Classic Italian favourites are served in abundance, with a huge enclosed deck overlooking Five Dock Park and the Sydney city skyline.

If you’d rather be outdoors, relax with a drink or a meal at the picnic tables on the greens or in one of our private gazebos.

It’s the perfect place for big groups, or whenever you need your favourite Italian fix. Think spaghetti meatballs, pollo boscaiola, fettuccine carbonara and traditional zuppa di pesce (mixed seafood stew in napoli sauce).

And the pizzas? Order them by the metre, served on traditional one- and even two-metre-long wooden boards.

Kick off your shoes

Come down for a social game of barefoot bowls on our greens. All ages are welcome.

Barefoot bowls is walk-in only, and our friendly staff will do their best to find you a free rink. We’re also forming a new bowls team, so ask us if you’d like to be part of it.

Open-air cinema

Movies under the stars on the lawns of The Home Grounds, on our 400-inch mega LED outdoor screen. Family movie nights start early, so the kids can be home in time for bed.

Order from Bistro 46 and we’ll bring your food straight to you, so you don’t miss a moment.

Book Skinny Tony’s or Bistro 46 online. A credit card secures your booking but isn’t charged: it’s only a guarantee, and the hold is released when you arrive.

Groups of 14 or more need to choose a banquet menu when booking.

Weekend lunch (12pm – 3pm) is for groups of 14+ with the banquet menu only.

Bistro 46

Bistro 46 is mostly walk-in, with plenty of seats by the bar, on the veranda deck and on the lawns with picnic tables and umbrellas, so you’ll usually find a table when you arrive.

We take a limited number of online bookings for up to 16 people. Groups of 17 or more need to choose a share menu: email info@thehomegrounds.com.au to check availability.

Good to know

Before you visit

Can I bring my own drinks?

No. We’re a fully licensed venue, so BYO drinks and alcohol of any kind aren’t allowed.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Yes, BYO cakes are welcome. A cake-age fee of $25 per cake applies.

Can I bring outside food?

Sorry, no. Outside food and drinks (such as fruit platters, sandwiches or kids’ meals) can’t be eaten on the premises.

Staff and management reserve the right to refuse entry or service.

Do I need to book?

You can book Skinny Tony’s online. Bistro 46 is mostly walk-in, and barefoot bowls is walk-in only.

Is there parking?

Yes, there’s plenty of parking.

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely. We’re a family-friendly venue with a kids play area.

Can I hold a function outside opening hours?

Yes. We open for functions, team building and conferences on our closed days and hours. Send us an enquiry to find out more.
